The Riot XR range has just gained a big and agile addition! Now you can experience incredible light wind sessions from just 6 knots, with the a LW 17.0 kite that flies just like smaller XRs and totally worthy of it's prefix “Riot XR”. “LW” stands for Light Wind but this wasn’t the only requirement when we set about designing a 17 m2 "Doldrums'" killer. Meet the new "Riot XR LW 17.0".
A special new light-wind profile provides the biggest kite in our line-up with a huge wind range and great upwind performance. The ability of the kite to turn quickly and easily is also vital to allow the new “LW 17.0” to accelerate very quickly with tight "figure of eight" turns.
We maintain that the Riot XR LW 17.0 is not only the lightest-wind inflatable kite on the market, but also the only kite of its size that can easily kite loop. The smooth massive power delivery allows huge air and hang time, even the lightest of winds, and all this is achieved without compromising the legendary Riot XR comfort.
The first light-wind Kite that really is fun!
The weight of the kite has been noticeably reduced, naturally without compromising the typial CORE build quality, thanks to a new technique. CORE can guarantee that there was no skimping of the hard-wearing Dacron fabric or robust Kevlar at the vital points of this kite.
With the Riot XR LW there is no need to leave the water when the wind exceeds 15 knots, for fear of having the seams fly past your ears, as this kite still has all the CORE bomb proof properties of other XR's; a quality important for riders who want to use their light-wind kite in increasing winds or require a bit more lift.
Safety, goes without saying with pressure-less release on the virtual fifth line, auto-relaunch and an optimised one-pump system.
The time of waiting for wind has passed.
With the Riot XR LW 17.0 you decide when to kite.
